I had a brilliant idea today: someone needs to start a noir-themed country band called The Dusty Standards. Just in case someone else already had this brilliant idea (doubtful, as all my ideas are original, but it never hurts to check), I decided to Google "dusty standards."

Lots of talk about jazz artists "livening up the old dusty standards," a few references to Dusty Springfield, and a lot of places quoting Brick. This particular result made me giggle.

apparently there is a line in the movie that goes like this:

'Nah, bulls gum it. They'd flash their dusty standards at the wide-eyes, probably find some yeg to pin.''

That solves the mistery? :P

PD: that list of the 50 best high school movies got me interested for the first 30 seconds! check it out.

I think the confusion stems from the map of the fake address from the script actually existing.

Well, along with everything else in that ad. But mostly the fake address makes me laugh.

Yup, it was the offer of a map of the Pin's house that I found amusing. I'm pretty sure that Rian remembers his own lines ;)
