this may be the only thing Albert Brooks has ever done that i find remotely amusing,
but in true Brooks fashion he still takes 6:44 to do a 90 second gag. neanderthal.

A few nights ago, I dreamed that I was watching Looper. It started out with all the characters from Brothers Bloom, and I thought, "Well that's cool, having a little Bloom reference at the beginning, to connect the two movies. Like having the mini Brick reunion near the begining of Bloom." But it wasn't just the beginning, it was the whole movie, and it was mostly Bang Bang and Stephen running away from vampires.

VAMPIRES.

If I may respectfully submit a soundtrack suggestion, I would like to nominate my hands-down favorite Oakland-based all-girl surf-rock-punk group for the job.

HELLO!

I'm sure it's obvious by now but none of that Chinese stuff is official art or trailers or footage or anything, it's just something they threw together for the press conference. In fact I think the image behind the font is from Tron.

No idea yet where the festival premiere will be. If we stick to the September date then maybe Toronto might make sense, but really I've got no idea.

The everybody-come-to-opening-night-at-the-Arclight-in-Hollywood thing has served us well in the past.

Hopefully this time the everybody-go-to-Canter's-afterwards thing will work too ;)

Toronto is closer to my time zone, but Atlanta would be the junk.
think about it - accessing an entirely new demographic ...
the SouthEastern yuppie intellectual.

stop laffin' or i'll sic my 'coon dog on yer scrawny @$$.

++++++++++++++++

so, Mr. RCJohnso, since you will have some time on your hands between the
completion of post [or whatever you call it] and September of 2012; inquiring
minds want to know what's on the slate. since seeing Loncraine's "Richard III",
i thought it would be dope if you did a historically revisionist version of one of
Shakespeare's plays featuring Sir John Falstaff. you can appreciate why Sir John
is necessary. if you can't, just trust me. if you can't trust me, just obey me.
resistance is futile.

Maybe I'll even go this time. It's all dependent on how many random high school pals show up and pull my attention away.

You are aware half the cast of Ninja-Ko was there, right? Then we walked back to the Arclight and bumped into Joe.

I'm unlikely to be able to make opening night at the Arclight for fairly clear reasons. However, I see no reason why Rian cannot be in London for the opening night at the Soho Curzon again. This time I will bring multiple, working cameras (cannot ever apologise to Andrew enough) and hang around longer to buy you a drink.

I think trying to out-Chime Welles would bring curses upon curses down on my head.

Passed a building on Post Street today that had a bronze plaque near the door that read "Looper Residence." 'Tis true, swear to G*d.
