Not sure if this belongs here, but it looks like Looper has a distributer

WOW! Thank you for posting that!

So that's really good then, right? That means that it will be in lots of theaters, maybe? 2000 sounds like a lot. I hope some of them will be out this way. Even if it wasn't, I'd probably legit take a day from work and make a road trip out of it. Here's a film that I need to see on the big screen. :D

Anyway. I pimped this link out everywhere. ^_^

*prod prod*

I just want to talk more about Looper. ^_^ Haven't been many updates in a while on the Tumblr and whatnot so I suppose I got worried that everyone working on it got raptured or something.

Wow, that joke is so two weeks ago.

Oh, didn't you get the invite? We all used Rian's time machine and saw the movie next year.

(I'm not sure how everyone else felt, but Joe's wise-cracking otter sidekick really started to grate by the third act.)

And that, to me, was the worst line in the film. I liked the movie a lot, but I just think that without the otter it would have been even better.

..and, apparently, eats all...

Nonsense, the otter is the film. Without him (it) there would be no heart to the film.

Spoilers:

OK, I'll admit that the scene when Otto (that was his name, right?) was reunited with his family was touching. But I think the voice that Paul Dano did for him was pretty racist, I'll be honest.

/Spoilers.

Paul Dano said in an interview that the accent he used for Otr (not Otter) was an imitation of his Latvian grandfather.

Sorry to leave this ridiculously long link and run - I haven't even listened to it yet (podcast) and I'm rnning out the door to work! But I wanted to share it anyway b/c Rian apparently says he wrote Looper w/Joe in mind and I JUST KNEW IT. ^_____^

Now I have something to listen to when I come home from work today. Okay everyone, enjoy!

Home from work and listening to this now. I love it! He sounds like so much fun, and so nice. I LOVE that he wrote the story with Joe in mind; I couldn't possibly imagine anyone else.

I love that he's talking about the writing process, too, and how to make things clear and tight. As someone looking for an agent and always wondering about clarity and brevity, this is so cool.

OMG he said they already have a rough cut of the film. Damn it, I want to watch it. >_< Stop teasing.

ETA: Rian Johnson hates 3D. SCORE. I hate it, too. Can't even watch it, it's too dark and gives me a headache. Good to know he will never do a 3D "feces smeared across the screen" movie. :D

ETA again: Okay, wow, a lot of people have been telling me to watch Dr. Who and I've never found the time or knew where to start. But Rian says that it's pretty awesome and I've been kind of itching to watch it. This clinches it! I think I'll give it a whirl.

Anyway! Give it a listen, it's a cool interview! :D

SPOILERS from IGN.com

To be perfectly honest i don't want to even peer in this forum. But I've heard rumors that Bang Bang did Time Travel at the end of Brothers Bloom.
Unfortunately she never entered a "TIME" to travel to and ended up at the start of all time. Around that exact moment she had a bomb strapped to her person (duh)
and pressed the button.

Thus the BIG BANG BANG Theory commenced.

Thoughts?
