would create a different you, possibly even from different parents in a different part of the world.
Which opens up the question as to what makes you YOU and not someone else. What keeps your consciousness inside that particular incarnation and creates the experience of self?
If biologically we are not sharing the same parents, I am not sure how can we make the connection that they are our other self. It is a total different individual even on a genetic level, irrespective of the choices they made in their life.
Right, and the only book that I've ever read that explored this was The Education of Oversoul Seven
. It was the idea that there are different incarnations of "you" with different consciousnesses that overlap--sometimes via time travel and sometimes through the "oversoul." I read that book when I was nine, and then again when I was 35 or so and it has always stuck with me, the idea that there could be a "me" in prehistoric times and a "me" from the future when we live in space, and a "me" who's a renaissance painter etc.
As for making out with yourself, can you be attracted to yourself?
But, getting back to Looper, why do I foresee a Young Joe/Old Joe fandom sprouting up? O_O
(Because that's what fandoms DO.
Back on topic, any idea why they are waiting for few more weeks to release the trailer online? Most other trailer/footage shown at WonderCon has been released online.
Really? That makes me
cry all the cries.
