And I hope you've learned your lesson.

I won't let out my Johnson in public anytime soon, that's for sure.

Second viewing I realised that my favorite part (and funniest part) is when Joe goes to say the monologue to Sara again and she cuts him off.

Funny for so many reasons: 1. It's a great way to reuse something the audience already knows under a different context. 2. shows that loopers aren't as special as they might think 3. great way to avoid already established exposition.

It's not often that I see that sort of audience acknowledgment in a movie.

The most clever joke to me was Old Joe's reaction to Young Joe having carved the waitress' name Beatrix in his arm in order to meet at the diner. "You know, there's another waitress who works weekends. Her name's Jen. Less letters."

That is a good one. I feel like my third viewing got a lot more laughs overall than the previous two, but now I can't think of any specific moments, partly because I was distracted by the commentary :)

Being spoiled by the knowledge of the obvious (JGL playing younger version of Bruce Willis) I laughed when young Joe touched his hairline in the mirror. Great foreheadshadowing.

My favourite part is Cid doing his times tables with Sara, really cracks me up - such a great display of deadpan stubbornness from such a young actor. :)

Given that Rian is Rian, I'm sort of surprised that the number he kept insisting on giving wasn't "42."

Though I doubt there is anyone left on the planet who wouldn't have been taken out of the scene by that and start pointing at the screen and elbowing his friends in the shoulder whispering "42! they said 42!"

I actually did have a 42 reference in there that I pulled at the last minute - I think it was the year. I had it originally set in 2042. Then I changed it.

Saw the original Teen Wolf recently - MJF's uniform number is 42. TOTALLY took me out of it.

I don't believe for one second that it was an accident that Joe's floor safe combo was 6742.

"Buzz 42 on my floor. But who--"

Yeah, I think unless you're doing the kind of movie (or whatever) where you're purposely trying to wink at your audience, "42" is a little too meta. :)

I've seen plenty of 42 references that were done subtly enough that I didn't notice them until later. "Buzz 42 at the gate," for example.

And I remain unconvinced that the floor safe combo was a coincidence.
