Hey Rian -

Can the we please see a PDF of Looper moleskins?

(doesn't have to be the whole thing, because, you know, moleskins...personal and stuff......)

but I'm curious about the process.

Some day I will sneak into Rian's house and steal the Bloom moleskine. And I will take it home and love it and care for it and hug it and squeeze it and call it George.

I'll scan a few, but I'm not sure how interesting they'll be.

Any luck on this? I'm curious if the moleskins where used for the writing process and/or pre-production and/or production. Also curious about the form.

Only other filmmaker I can think who has publicly said they use journals is Guillermo Del Toro and his journals are of the same vein as his films, but serve to compliment them and are not necessary for the production. I also think his are not moleskins, but custom made.

Very early notes for our first entrance into the Belle Aurore:

Nearly a year later, a pretty final sketch of the last sequence:

That Belle Aurore page is fantastic. Reads like poetry. Line weight in 0.7mm I want to say but I'm not sure. It's interesting the form these early notes take themselves in. (I'm assuming all this is pre-script?) I think I saw a picture of three looper moleskins?

Impressed by the page numbers. Some artists forget that and end up flipping around the moleskins.

These are the pocket sized ones, right? When I first saw the picture of the stack, I thought they were the book sized ones like I use, and was baffled by the amount of information there in...

I was up in the park today and saw a whole family of skinned moles, shivering, huddling together for warmth around a dead pigeon they'd set on fire...

And I swear one of them was holding a blunderbuss saying, "Johnson should be coming over any second now."

more like "careful the owners of novelty stores could be around any corner." But seriously do those novelty store exist outside of Cape Cod? I have to know.

Damn, that is a bit poetic. The Lamb is Seth, I assume? That sounds like the conversation they have outside Seth's place in that deleted scene. Saint Joe...

This was cool.
I don't remember where I posted the small diagram that Rian had in his hand in one shot.
But I found this fan picture of an attempted 'straw' diagram.

It5s a bit too big to show it, sorry.
