I'm 100% sure no Jedi actually die. They become one with the force and reappear when necessary. It would be well within Star Wars to bring back Hamill as a blue-ghost.

I could be wrong on this, but Qui-Gon was mentioned as the first to study force ghosting (or whatever it's called), which he taught to Obi-Wan (who apparently taught it to Yoda and perhaps Anakin). Luke seems to have figured out how to force-ghost while alive, so it's a no-brainer that he's got it down.

Meanwhile the Sith were more about not dying, showing their disharmony with life generally and in sharp contrast with the Jedi: One side becomes one with the force but keeps their consciousness alive, the other bends the force to escape death.

^^^ Agree.

I'm not saying it takes away from Star Wars deaths necessarily. Though maybe a little? I mean, what is death, really, if you can pop back in for a chat, and affect physical matter? No big, really.

But I mean, that's Star Wars canon, so yah :)

Well the force ghost stuff isn't entirely convenient. ALSO- I would love a Liam Neeson cameo.

Ep 9 should have a 20-minute scene where force ghosts are just like hanging out, capping on each other, playing poker or something.
Alternatively, it would be cool, if Luke's force ghost just randomly appeared behind Rey and said "Boo!".

It's not convenient, but if the most you could say about death was "yeah this is pretty inconvenient," I'd be pretty pleased with that reality. :D

I'd love to see Force-ghost Anakin face-palming over Kylo Ren. "THAT'S NOT WHAT I... ugh whatever."

I'll take this a step further and say I'd love to see Force-ghost Anakin appear between Kylo and who ever he is trying to kill and call down a Yoda-style lightening bolt on him/his ship/in his way.

Can you imagine meeting your idol and the first thing they do is betray everything you think you know about them... by attacking you? Knock some sense into that kid...

I mean this whole thing could have been solved in Anakin's Force Ghost did exactly that. "Look doofus, Luke was not lying when he said that I turned good, I mean. I'm literally standing right here telling you this."
