No, I don't own Brick  But, upon returning to the forum had a major craving to see it again. I swear, a couple of weeks ago it was not available streaming through netflix (at least not in the Boston area) but now it is (prayers answered :D )

Anyway that bred two questions:

Is that kind of licensing part of the original DVD agreement or does it have to be negotiated for each film, with each possible streaming outlet?

Is streaming good/bad for money or propers getting back the artist(s)?

Just want to make sure my fix is not exploiting any beloved genius

It's really simple: Reality is what happens, not what people say. If you give your time to it, it's important. If you don't think it's important, do something else. Now. Just because you don't like the consequences, doesn't mean you don't have choices.

It's negotiated separately with the distributor. I'm not sure what it means in terms of money, but it definitely means more people can see the movie, so I'm all for it. STREAM ON, YOU CRAZY DIAMOND.
