from the Movie Reactions thread :

Quiz Show: A superb recounting of a pretty wacky true story. Redford's direction is usually good, but at times brilliant. A movie that I can't wait to revisit years from now. Excellent performances all around. Fiennes is perhaps the handsomest man alive.

Nope, Jude Law. Or in the words of Curly Bill "That's the prettiest man I ever saw",
referring to a character played by Billy Zane. Gael García Bernal? Steve Buscemi? j/k

(another "zany thread" alá KGSullivan?)

Fiennes in Quiz Show? I'm going to have to go with Rocco.

This thread is posted in hopes that such prurience will not sully the august Movie Reactions thread.

Guidelines : any character.
Examples :
Marlon Brando in "On the Waterfront"
Michelle Rodriguez in "The Fast and the Furious"
Whatever...

Absolutely agree with Holly Hunter, but McDormand in The Man Who Wasn't There was GROSS to me. That bathtub scene was just a bucket of yuck.

But I like this game. I will go with:

Michelle Monaghan in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Jean Seberg in Breathless
Scarlett Johansson in Match Point
Harrison Ford in Temple of Doom
Rosario Dawson in Sin City

and, of course, The entire cast of Ocean's 11

Okay, this one comes to mind:

Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon in Bound

solid daps.

understand about Frances. overall the character is hideous. guess I was fixated on the lingerie scene.
y'know how stuff gets etched on the inside of your eyelids. Frances was spicy/kinky in "Raising Arizona".
Maybe I'm just showing my age. Or weirdness. Or both.

Mickey Rourke in "Year of the Dragon"_1985.

Michael Rennie in "The Day the Earth Stood Still"_1952.

Sidney Poitier in "In the Heat of the Night"_1967.

Charlton Heston in "Ben-Hur"_1959.

Robert Conrad in "The Wild Wild West"_1965-1969.

Foxcatcher Interesting psychological study, but I couldn't help thinking all through the film that Steve Carell's portrayal of John du Pont was what Michael Scott would be like if he'd been born into one of America's wealthiest families.

Good luck finding any hot characters in that bleak old thing.

Oh yeah, dog. Don't make 'em like that any more. And I don't mean the films.

Hey, Duane :
Who the dingdangdandy is Michael Scott?
No, never mind ... must be some sort of intractable polymorph.
Don't want to know about any more of them.

Alida Valli in "The Third Man"_1949

Gina Lollobrigida in "Trapeze"_1956
