Are any of you watching this YouTube show? It's one guy picking a movie he's seen and likes, and talking about every aspect of it and what he likes and what worked and sometimes the things that didn't work, while always keeping a positive angle and finding something new to say about the film. Not movie reviews, just movie discussions. Hyper-stylized and goddamn delightful.

I recommend starting with his video on Cabin In The Woods, then go to the beginning and watch every video in order, as long as you've seen the movie or don't intend to ever see it. He goes deep, so spoilers ahoy!

I am desperate to hear him talk about one of Rian's movies.

Oh! I watched the Adaptation one based, no doubt, on your recommendation, but forgot why I watched it.Yeah, it was good! I subscribed but have yet to revisit the channel. Long vids.

I'm trying to find the time for these, but long form youtube content I have trouble committing to. The one on Zodiac was really good.

For not watching this awesome show when Mom tells you :P

THAT is what I like to hear!

I know the videos are "long" by YouTube standards, but just think of it as a short Netflix show instead. This is THE BEST film analysis/criticism I've ever heard, while always being consistently funny and entertaining at the same time. It hurts me that you're not all totally hooked yet :(

I actually think some of his asides can be a bit obnoxious at times, but overall I love most of them. Sorry for being such a downer, I'm having a rough week.

I have no problem with the longer runtimes, the more the merrier, really.

I like his view on The Force Awakens, and I strongly disagree with just about everything in his Pontifications On The Force, and I think he doesn't understand the force at all.

Fun show!

Youtube kept recommending these to me and I caved and ended up watching a ton of them. I really like his delivery style (both in form and humour) and he often articulates seemingly simple ideas very well. He picks up on patterns and details in interesting ways. Sometimes he makes a bold statement about how something's misunderstood and then spends 20 minutes explaining something that I (personally) had intuited from my first viewing of the film (his Interstellar review in particular).

But I like it! I've subscribed!

100% in agreement here. We've dicussed the Force elsewhere on the forum, but for me Mikey's ideas are completely off-base. The Force is neither good nor bad; only its users are good or bad, and can use it for good or bad things.

I'm just sad to hear he has MS. I hope he's taking care of himself.
