So I've been reluctant to chime in because all y'all be talkin' about full features and shit while I'm still working my way up with some measly shorts.

At any rate, Lemon Drink is about to have its festival premiere this Saturday, and since I suspect this particular crowd might enjoy it, I'll just go ahead and leave an early link here.

I really enjoyed this!

I'm trying to keep up with everybody's stuff! Bear with me, everyone!

I eat a lot of cheese, sorry.

(True story: one of my less-bright HS classmates decided to enter the spelling bee, probably just to get out of class. The first word to spell was "phlegm", and the entire auditorium tensed as it was thought over. Finally: "Phlegm. F-L-E-M. Phlegm." "Thank you, but that is incorrect.")

(P.S. I placed third and got in the yearbook)

No word on America yet, but there’s definitely a DVD in japan now.

This one seems to be cheaper.

No word on a blu-ray yet.

Battle of Guardian Dark Force vs Mystery Girl is a great translation

Haha, yeah it’s pretty funny how they tried to turn it into a kind of resident evil type of thing. Which I’m sure sells way better than the weird movie it actually is.

Have you heard about how Chicago is a war zone? It's not as bad as a lot of the news would make you believe, but it's also... not good.

So who should tell you how it really is? Sure as hell not me - I live in a safe, admittadly hipstery Northwest side neighborhood.... but a lot of the people I've met while working on my show aren't so fortunate.

So over the last year and a half, I co-directed a short documentary about some of the city's most violent areas (while working on Case Files Chicago). It only begins to scratch the surface of this problem, and won't fix anything on it's own, but hopefully it can put a face to some of those statistics & keep the conversation going. Anyway, here's the trailer!

PS: We also put my first feature Sunset Rock back up for free viewing on YouTube now that our fest run is complete!

America seems to always be both the best and the worst country.

I'm afraid Molly has maybe lost most of its momentum in the search for distribution in some regions (like the US), so I'm now thinking about letting it go for now and just focus on finishing Kill Mode. Hopefully that does better (it's a bigger, slightly more mainstream movie, so should have more appeal), and since it's a prequel to Molly of sorts I'll try again with Molly after that. Dunno. I wanted you guys to be able to see it, but you might have to wait for a double bill?

Anyhoozle: Here's the final poster. Click for a high res version!

I'm not sure they did a blu-ray actually. Just a DVD... I wonder if it's dubbed. I think it is.

Okay yes, we have been making a LOT of stuff over here. So I condensed it down to three minutes for ultimate convenience. Enjoy!
