Well ok. I can get behind this. Sennheiser 416 ftw definitely. 8k workflow? Ballsy. Australia? Nicely blemished.

Holy shit Chad, what an undertaking. Can't wait to see some footage. I'm making loose plans for my second "unscripted" project to shoot after Room to Believe and if you can pull off something that HUGE, and I feel like my dinky little idea can be a reality. Crazy that painting out boom mics is less work than laving actors, but I guess you've got the skills for it. Share some stills when you can!

8k workflow-ish. Shot 8k for the ability to capture a full frame, uncropped image with my Leicas (shooting anything less on a RED and you'll get a center-cropped image). Will for-sure cut that down to 4k for any VFX work, color and final deliveries. The only question that remains is do I future proof with an HDR finish, or do an old-school color correction... or do I eat this muffin in front of me and drink myself to death? Choices.

Hell yeah, looking forward to your next unscripted joint (and, of course, Room to Believe). Biggest risk with doing what we did in Australia, was filming without a backup drive. The raw footage takes up 15 terabytes, and frankly between everything else, there wasn't enough space to handle making a backup (on my own). Guess it's like the old days of shooting film - if a reel gets flashed, well... FUCKED.

Will definitely post some stills once I've got some extra time to. Just started a new job this week, so my time is now *gobble gobble*

Thanks for the excited words, ya'll! If this forum doesn't produce at least four more notable directors, I'll be severely disappointed.

Keep doing what you do because nobody else can do it half as well.
Every best wish,

It's the distributor, not me, so I dunno. Indie Rights picked us up.
