According to a post of Tweets that's going around Tumblr, Don Jon's Addiction did really well at Sundance. Seems like folks were really impressed, and apparently it's funny as hell and quite sexy. Someone also said that they can't imagine how it's not going to get an NC17 rating. (Which means it will never play anywhere near my small town. >_< )
I'm looking forward to seeing this take on gender roles, as well as on pornography itself, which I find sort of fascinating from an anthropological angle and also because, well, PORN.
I have a lot of thoughts on porn, differences between how it's marketed to men and women, how it affects people, and the entire industry that goes along with it. So I'm pretty curious about this film.
As a side note, it boggles me that actors can sit an audience of hundreds of people and watch their own sex scenes. I can't even get undressed in front of the mirror before a shower.
