It won't last but The Brothers Bloom and Beverly Hills Chihuahua have the exact same score on Rotten Tomatoes right now. God help us all.

BHC will pull ahead quickly enough. With a bullet.

The Brothers Bloom is doing pretty damn well on imdb, though. It went from a 7.1 to an 8.2 within a few weeks. Maybe it shot up because they saw Beverly Hills Chihuahua afterward, and Bloom looked better by comparison.

Adrien Brody and Rachel Weisz positioned as possible Academy Best Actor and Actress nominees for Bloom (and guess who for Best Screenplay?):

BHC vs. TBB!

IMDB rankings are pretty volatile while the vote counts are still relatively low - we'll most likely drop sharply from there, but I'm enjoying the 8ness while we've got it!

Unless I actually meet the guy someday, I'm going to have a hard time believing Jeffrey Wells actually exists and isn't a "troll" persona created by Rian.

Faking that level of genius is far far beyond my humble talents. I happily admit I read his blog every day, and highly recommend you all do the same.

Jeffrey Wells is to film blogging what Dennis Woodruff is to the streets of Los Angeles, and I wouldn't want to imagine either without them.

Is it wrong that the first similarity I thought of was "...as Rip Taylor is to gay rights"?

Is there a feature where we nominate posts into a 'best of' section? Because, allfive, this is right up there at the top.

Jeffrey Wells = ugh. I'll bet I know why he's so down on Rian and his films.

Rian probably rebuffed a request from Wells for some nude Rachel Weisz outtake stills from Bloom.

Has anyone here mentioned this? If you're going: Huh??? read about the request made to James Mangold, director of "3:10 to Yuma":

Creepy Email From A Hollywood Blogger; And Jeff Wells Responds And Explains (?)

(BTW, Hollywood columnist/reporter Nikki Finke is fairly controversial in her own right, but I like her cause she was the go-to source for info during the 2007-2008 Writer's Strike.)

Wells is just so much of a character that it's hard to believe he's real.

Best comment:

Wells neglects to mention the moment when he offered her a stale piece of cake from his pocket, after which he was dragged screaming from the restaurant.

I love how he rises to every piece of bait and generally uses profanity or rude language when "rebutting" their comments. Class, thy name ain't Wells.
