Breaking virgin soil here, folks.

From awesome script to [the last draft I saw of a] finished film, to a score that makes up for the fact that John Williams forgot how to write melodies after Harry Potter and just will- not - leave - my head, I really am in love with this pic. It's kinda awkward. Embarrassing. Even when I'm with other movies, I find myself thinking of her ;)

It's surreal to see a 'real' movie filled with ideas and humor that sound like a giddy or intensely soulful conversation with a friend (which I guess makes sense). It's like someone made a movie just for me.

Can we drop spoil-bombs yet, or are we waiting???

Should I just eat my waffles? :D

I saw this in June at a sneak in Huntington Beach (loved it); I know Rian was there because I couldn't stop myself from going up to him after and shaking his hand.

I'm curious, what's been edited out of the final product?

I HAVE SEEN BROTHERS BLOOM and...

1. I'm glad I can say that. Rian is the nicest guy ever, no kidding.

2. Fantastic! The shots, jokes, music, characters, stories... muah! Great job to everyone involved!

I'm going with this topic since I couldn't have titled it any less effusively.

I think it's just the most magnificent, amazing, darkish, brilliant, beautiful thing.

Thank you!!!!

I saw it at CMJ in NY and I can't wait till it comes out so I can drag everyone to see it with me!

The scene with the stuff, in the place, with that thing, and those people... AHHHHHH!!! (OK, that's about 85% of the movie...)

Then I ended up in a bar, drinking French Kiss martinis telling everyone what a Genius a certain someone was... then I got kicked out. Of New York... but that was my fault. Not, you know, the fault of the movie.

At least you didn't give away the part when you find out the thing about the thing at the end.

If it ever comes to court, feel free to Blame Bloom. Not sure if it'll work as a defense, but it'll look good on a t-shirt.

Glad you dug the movie, Jodi - welcome to the forum! 8)

Rian, just got back from the London Film Festival Gala screening of this and just wanted to say thank you. I don't think I have ever gone into a film with such high expectations and they were met and then some.

Thanks for making this one of the best night of my life. I'm going to queue up and hopefully get a return ticket to the screening tomorrow.

Look forward to the science fiction! :P

Thanks for coming, glad/relieved you liked it! I'll be intro-ing tomorrow's screening, so hopefully I'll see you there.

Just managed to get myself a ticket for today's screening too! So I will make sure I pop up and say hi. I'll be the way too over excitable guy jumping up and down in his seat :p

I saw The Brothers Bloom at the premiere of the Chicago International Film Festival a couple of weeks ago and was totally blown away! It was a great film...one of the best I've seen in recent years.

It was fun to see Rian and Rachel Weisz, too. Rachel mentioned she was looking for a comedy after her long line of dramatic films and she sure made an excellent choice. I'd venture to say that the role of Penelope Stamp is one of the best comedic roles written for a woman in a long time and Rachel played it very well! Kudos to her and to Rian!

It was a great night...my friend and I wanted to stay for a repeat viewing, but alas, we got booted!

But, I went home and moved Brick to the top of my Netflix queue so I could get my Rian Johnson fix!

Even better the second time round! Just wanted to say thanks for Rian for being such a great guy in person, was great to meet you.

Man, I fucking LOVE the ending of this film (although I hate that it ends :p), I still haven't decided whether the ending made me happy or sad, which I love.
