Anyone else think of this? I only saw the movie last night, and this is my first time on the Bloom section of the forum, so excuse me if this has been raised before.

They do both have an air of being rather pleased with themselves.

I'll tell you straight out, Sarah, I'm a man who likes talking to a man who likes to talk.

I love that quote. "I distrust a close-mouthed man. He generally picks the wrong time to talk and says the wrong things. Talking is something you can't do judiciously, unless you keep in practice."

So could you see Sydney Greenstreet as the Curator? Or reversely, Robbie Coltrane as Gutman?

I could definitely see Robbie Coltrane as Gutman. Maybe he wouldn't be my first choice if, in some strange alternate universe, I was casting a remake of The Maltese Falcon. Yet I have no doubt he could rock the hell out of that role.

Ok, so Coltrane as Gutman. I'm thinking Jon Hamm as Spade, maybe Amy Adams or Christina Hendricks as O'Shaughnessy and I really don't know who'd be a good fit for Joel Cairo.
