6 Movies I’d Like to Live In:

The Brothers Bloom (2008) Dir: Rian Johnson: Now here’s a criminally under-seen movie that everyone should immediately go out and rent. Rian Johnson’s follow-up to his cult hit Brick (which I love, but would definitely not want to live in) is an energetic and amusing crime caper. It’s kind of like To Catch a Thief by way of Wes Anderson, only funnier. The film spans continents, the money is endless, the conversation is witty and layered, and none of the emotions seem real. The characters seem aware they’re acting out their roles within a movie, and as such, they just seem to be having more fun with the thing. That’s what I want: to be in a movie, be aware that I’m in that movie, and just go nuts.

in good company with The Maltese Falcon, To Catch a Thief and Ghostbusters 8)

I still haven't seen this film(I know, I should be ashamed), but after seeing the trailer and reading this little article, I have to say, I would really like to live in this film, too. Of course, I'd also like to live in Brick. And maybe some horror flicks, as well.

Thanks for posting this. :)
