Toronto is within reasonable driving distance from me, but I'll be getting ready to shoot my own little movie with some friends that week!

But man, that is one heck of a line up.

Pfft, wrong side of the country this time. Make more movies in town, so I can skateboard there.

Note to self: buy a skateboard.

Well, i can take a 14 hour train ride, skip a week of class, stop having sex with rachel weisz, all for about $200 (not counting lodging/film fest tickets).... or fly, just miss a couple days of class, for around $500...

Skipping a few days of film school to attend the Toronto film fest doesn't seem like an unreasonable trade off, but the moneymoneymoney is an issue. But I'm still considering.

I suppose I could bring him along...I can double-task.

Well, there's at least something about advanced order procedures etc. where people participate in some kind of a draw to determine who gets to buy their tickets first and such. Only eligible for some ticket-types... Here
And those packets seem to be not valid for Gala screenings at Roy Thomson Hall or Visa Screening Room events at the Elgin Theatre. So if Bloom is in some of those things then that info-page is of no use...

But I've only visited Love & Anarchy Film festival, which is quite different, so it would be better for some wiser person to interpret the ticket buying info...

I don't think I'll be able to make this one but congratulations nonetheless!

TIFF was the festival that got me (and just about everyone else) interested in Juno and look how that turned out: critical acclaim, a whole lot of cash, Oscar noms, and a sudden demand for hamburger phones.

So here's hoping you follow in their footsteps, hamburger phones and all.

Thanks for the link - yeah, I guess I should make it clear that I've never been to the festival either and I have no idea how the tickets work, and that because it's a one-off screening it might actually be difficult to get seats. :?
