If anyone's from the L.A. area, this is a pretty cool theater. They actually do midnight showings for most of their movies, so there's a good chance that this will have a show at 12:01 AM. Anything thinking about going?

Side note-Limits of Control. Anyone, anyone?

I've heard so much about the Arclight on this forum, so that would pretty much totally rock. Midnight showings are the win.

We have Thursday night midnight shows for pretty much every movie we open now.

I'm guessing he works there, like my friends Derick and Shamira used to. Is Dwight still there?

The Arclight is great. I was there for a Kevin Smith "Vulgarthon" Film Fest, a special show of Mallrats with the cast and then I saw The Fall there, just 'cause.

Adios, amigo. Guess 5 weeks holding a screen in the middle of summer isn't too shabby.

I may sneak over for an empty matinee sometime this week, just to hear it one last time with a primo sound system.

I working Thursday night (screening Moon!) so I'm doing the same sometime tomorrow. They took our 35mm print of it last week actually so it's in 2K. Looks really nice.

I also realized earlier today that you've been "present" all five times I've watched it: AFI Fest, Fakery Fest (x2), opening weekend, and then finally you were "in my ear" for the commentary.

Which reminds me, we need to have a talk about proper q-tip use.

How can you be an environmentalist and work in Hollywood? Hollywood movies and sets use up a lot of resources. Also all this actors with jets planes and cars are also environmentalist but yet they drain up a lot of resources.

Very true, I think. Though it's hard to consider one's self an environmentalist if one looks too closely at any aspect of our day to day lives, in or out of the movie industry. I'm not being judgmental (or claiming to be an environmentalist, because I'm tremendously lazy and not at all green in any sense of the word) but the truth is if you live in modern American society, your impact on the environment is invariably pretty awful.
