I've, um, heard.

I, er, read a blog about it?

Is there any sign of fixed date for the UK yet, or are we still keeping fingers crossed for May-ish?

Great to have a date at last! That is 'cinema' release then, not dvd release I hope!

I haven't heard this date yet, but I've been told June, and that sounds right to me. And yes, in cinemas. Huzzah!

So Rian et al, TBB opens in UK on 4th June! Hooray!
I'm not sure about distribution around the whole of the UK and Ireland, but it is catalogued in the latest CURZON May/June magazine, issue 20, under new releases for this date. Curzon cinemas are central London based arthouses situated in Soho, Mayfair, Chelsea and Richmond. If I may, as it's short, here's the blurb that accompanies the captioned picture of Adrian Brody & Rachel Weisz under the burnt yellow umbrella, thus: "A witty postmodern crime caper from writer-director RIAN JOHNSON (Brick) confirming its creator as one of the brightest new voices in contemporary American cinema. The brothers (Ruffalo & Brody) have perfected the art of swindling fortunes through years of fraternal framework. Now they've decided to take on one last spectacular job before retirement, luring an eccentric and beautiful heiress into an elaborate plot. But what looks like just another of so many grifts is put to the test by a prey who's not quite as innocent as the Blooms had imagined. Beautifully played, the film also excels in each and every technical department" SO, finally, a well written appraisal of a long awaited release, here in the UK, I think you'll agree Rian. Oh, almost forgot, on the preceeding page to the above, there's a full page ad in black with red title captions THE BROTHERS BLOOM!

Rian, do you know yet whether or not you'll be able to make it over the UK for the release? I wouldn't want to interrupt Looper pre-production, but we'd love to have you!

Thanks! Yeah, I'll be heading to London on the 31st for a week! I'm really excited. There will be a few q&a screenings, I'll post the info here when I've got it.

Wow, that's awesome. If you can find time to come and speak at Warwick Uni... well, if you can, then please let me know. The university is only a couple of hours travel outside London. My email address is david.sugarman@warwick.ac.uk.

The UK shows they have the good sense to keep it in the family, and trounces the US promotion thoroughly.

Indeed! Listen to Day Glo and visit Coventry. They have a very lovely car museum, and not much else.

That's a lie!

It's actually a transport museum. There aren't just cars in it! Or so I'm told. I've never been, because, well, it's a transport museum.

Brothers Bloom is certainly hitting the Midlands, I am introducing it in Derby at Quad Cinema on the 18th of June ( not sure why they are getting it so late, but better late than never!) and should be at Broadway cinema in Nottingham.

I just can't wait to see it on the big screen instead of the dvd!

Yes! Looking forward to finally seeing it. Like the U.K. poster also.
