The two one-acts I'm in open in just five weeks. Tickets still available.

Just four weeks until the plays open. Time, I guess, to start learning my lines.

Wish I could be there! Break all the legs.

Isn't that always the case....break a leg! I'd be there if I lived anywhere close to SF.

If that should be the case, fortunately, I spend the first one-act in a wheelchair.

Thnx, 'Snake.

Three weeks before we open and we lost a cast member, a young actor without any stage experience. (And, no, I wasn't picking my teeth with freshman--again!) We have a replacement already, fortunately, which is a good thing 'cause the show must--you know--go on.

Sometimes those emergency re-castings really work out great. Hmmm, trying to remember one that didn't, just remembering lots of instances of eff to the yeah. (goes without saying, but none of this is real without snaps at some point... 8) )

In this case we came up roses. The new guy--Hi, Christian, if you run across this!--is top drawer. I worked with him on a film called Come Fly with Me Nude a few years ago. He's bright, talented, good-looking, young. I hate him to the bones.

I have a role in each of the two one-acts (which--cough!-- open this Friday night) and as best I try to make each of the characters unique, they're not entirely dissimilar. Or, as the TD said the other day, "They're two flavors of prick."

Well, gee, I wonder what's happening in San Francisco this weekend?

And, yeah, they misspelled my last name in the caption.

My favorite comment posted yet regarding my performance:
Quote:
Actors were terrific! Direction also good with exception of opening monologue of, which was overdone in volume - it should be the grumbling, under-your-breath kind of of thing that older people seem to do automatically - so tone that down.

Because, ya know, all older people behave the same way, regardless of the circumstances.

Thnx, and there are three performances left this weekend, with plenty of time to get your plane tickets and get the hell out here...

I really have no excuse for not showing up to one of those. Let me see what madness is going on this weekend and I'll let you know what night to look for me.

I had a beard when we met before, right? Don't have one now.

Should you come, wait for me after the show. And feel free to--you know--lie.
