I saw today that Alamo Drafthouse is showing Brick next month, so I'm totally going. I got in touch with this one guy that's tangentially related to the production to see if he's interested in showing up.

Reporting back in after the screening: I have seen this movie many many many times, but not on the big screen in 12 (?) years. It packed a hell of a punch.

Interestingly, the audience didn't seem to pick up a lot of the detail in the dialogue until about halfway through. I guess if you're not familiar with it (it is delivered very quickly most of the time) it can speed right on by you.

What stood out most to me, though, was the amount of detail he'd stuffed into every corner--the first 10 minutes alone is like a running set of references to everything.

There's also liberal use of this one particular shade of red. Curious.
